Walking Trails

and other adventures

When we first purchased our home we didn’t know just how perfect this space was for our future. Over ten years ago the land on the property had been logged. It was unfortunate to learn that the property didn’t have as much old growth as we hoped.

What we discovered however, was that this left behind trails from the logging trucks. There is much new growth through the property but the trails have been maintained through constant use and exploration. We have premade walking paths allowing us to safely discover and explore all that our fifty acres has to offer.

The children love to explore the property. Rock climbing, scavenger hunts, berry picking, fort building and animal tracking are just a few of our favorite activities.

There are three small ponds and a fresh spring as well. Witnessing the growth of these small ecosystems through the spring and summer is a favorite past time.

Our property offers natural stimulation into children’s interests and questions. We all get to be scientists here.
